They said :
" With the help of a photocopyer, used as some sort of camera, José Ferreira W. captures his own bodily movements then exploits the machine's image processing functions to obtain the image we are seeing. The musician's hands –captured in motion– remain the only recognizable items in the image while the instrument has exploded in myriads of multicolored pixels.
The electronic processing of the image here echoes the electronic processing of sound. The dematerialization of the instrument, as put into image by the artist, illustrates what was to become a major issue for composers in the second half of the XXst century."
